Troubles and Some Mermaids

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 4, 2009, 2:20 PM
God help me.

This was the worst week I have had so far at school. My best friend here and I had a fight but we've made up and things are back to normal between us, but she's had to deal with some other really bad stuff so we're all down. We went to the New York City Ballet on Tuesday night and it was really fun. We saw The Nutcracker. And then we went to a little Greek pizzeria and there we fought over whether Albanians or Sicilians are superior (and who between the three makes the best pizza overall), our Dominican and Native American friends not even bothering to champion their own people.

My friend Veronica is publishing her novella and we are throwing a launch party here! I love it how my friends are all so supportive of each other. I played an Open Mic on Wednesday night and I played a song I wrote for my best friend here, the lyrics of which I'll probably post as a Deviation.

Tomorrow I am going to the Martha Stuart Craft Show with my mother.

And Tim Burton at the MoMA.

I'm also looking for cheap Lladro mermaids. And I'm trying to finish a novella.

Forts

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 17, 2009, 4:09 PM
Guys, I have to tell you that for the first time in many years, I'm really happy. I know I would not have found this same resolution had I chosen any other school. I have two wonderful friends and when I am with them it's like coming home.

We recently got really into making forts.

Since, by "recently," I mean midnight today, we've only made two, but still. I found what I was looking for only ever in college: awesome people I could make forts with. Both of my friends are very magical and artistic and brilliant. They have all-orange Christmas lights in their room. I'm putting up pictures of the fort from this afternoon later and hopefully my friend will post the ones from last night. :aww:

Dauphine Prime

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 4, 2009, 10:48 AM
I'd like to make an announcement! Largely thanks to my dear, dear friend, I now have a business. You see, she started selling prospective polymer dolls to strangers at our school. Because of this, I need to get more Sculpey, paint, fabric, yarn, and a website. There are a lot of people, we found, who would seriously pay for my dolls. I find this amazing.

Also, everyone's favorite doll here is the "scary mermaid." I haven't finished her but when I do, I'm giving her to my friend for starting my business for me. So you will probably see that one finished soon. The other one that I am working on is the ripoff of Marie Antoinette's style––I call her "Dauphine Prime" because she s the first of many many dolls I am going to make with the classic 1700s Marie Antoinette updo. Between her epic cuteness and my friend epic cuteness, I have a business!

I will be selling the dolls at individually determined prices but they will definitely be more expensive upstate and hopefully I will have enough to sell at the St. Joe's Christmas bazaar called "The Sugar Plum Shoppe" this year. Upstate I can probably get $100 for the Dauphine series dolls! That's exciting. Down here, however, I can probably only scrape $30 or maybe $40. Which is still good. But you know.

Personal Me Updatege

Journal Entry: Thu Oct 22, 2009, 3:22 PM

First, to all the dickheads who ran my high school: I HAVE CONQUERED YOU. YES I HAVE.

And, having gotten that off my chest, I'd like to say that this time of my life is as wonderful as ninth grade percussion. If you know me, you know what a big deal that is. I've never said that about anything before. It keeps hitting me in pieces that Miho is gone but I guess I just have to wait for the big wave that's going to murder me with missing her. Everything else is so wonderful. I have made friends here who I feel like I've known forever and who I intend to know forever. Hopefully my two best friends (who don't really know each other) will accompany me to the Tim Burton opening on November 22! That's exciting as crap.

Last night I did my school's open mic night and it went really well such that people were commending me all day. I like commendation. :bow: I was also appointed Assistant Layout Editor of the school newspaper, The MounTimes. People are still talking about my article. It came out yesterday and it is about the mutant roach infestation in the dorm buildings. I'm going to post it. It is called "Legos of Satan." And yes I've been called out for that since publication! This is a Catholic school after all. ^^;

I'm also on a diet. My goal is to lose weight while nearly everyone else gains. :mwahaha:

I made some hardcore paper chains for my dorm. The RAs said I just need to take them down when the room inspection people come in. :D

I'm also really mad that married Catholics (AND EPISCOPALIANS––WHAT THE FLYING HELLFUCK) can become ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIESTS. I can't. But I'm ready to give up my whole life for this. THEY'RE NOT APPROPRIATE, BENEDICT. THIS DEFIES ALL FOR WHICH WE THEOLOGICALLY STAND.
